Years ago, back in 1964, the idea of creating a catering shop crossed Mr. Elias Abou Samra's mind. With the help of a well-trained staff, among with his 35 years of experience at the Casino du Liban, Mr. Abou Samra launched in Hamra the first of La Cigale's branches, known back then as Candy.

Throughout the years, La Cigale's family was growing…Today, the "Société Elias Abou Samra & Fils" mainly comprises 3 branches, along with La Cigale and its elegant restaurants.

In 1981, a new branch of Candy was founded in Zalka and was called La Cigale; its main services consisted of catering, restaurant as well as pastry services.

Few years later, in 1994, La Cigale Hotel was created. Besides its exquisite and elegant rooms, it joins four different kinds of restaurants aimed to please different tastes, a large and exceptional conference room, the caterer service and shop along with its fine bakery.

With the view to celebrating the new millenium, La Cigale Achrafieh (Charles Malek Avenue) was the best holiday present that Mr.Abou Samra could ever offer to his exceptional Clientele.

On the other hand, La Cigale Hotel has been conceived to mainly host a wide range of professionals and executives, ranging from businessmen to engineers. The Hotel keeps a special place for its regular guests; all in a very enjoyable and friendly atmosphere…
